Claudio Ribeiro is artistic director and founding member of baroque orchestra COLLEGIUM MUSICUM Den Haag and is a member of ensembles La Cicala and Radio Antiqua, besides performing regularly with the duo with recorder player Inês d'Avena.

He also regularly collaborates with various period ensembles, such as Musica Temprana and Barokopera Amsterdam.

 

New Collegium is one of the leading Dutch ensembles of the ‘young generation’, founded in 2006 by young, talented, energetic musicians, united under the direction of Brazilian/Italian harpsichordist Claudio Ribeiro. This international ensemble is known for its vitality and dynamism, but also for its high artistic quality and experience with the historically informed performance practice.
 
 
 
Inês d'Avena and Claudio Ribeiro have been working as a duo for 15 years. Since then, the recorder and harpsichord duo has been performing extensively in The Netherlands and Brazil, and also in Italy and Germany.
In 2011, they won 2nd prize at the prestigious Premio Bonporti receiving high praise for being “a true duo”.
